Ignacio Amat is a Full Stack Developer based in Barcelona, Spain, specializing in Laravel, PHP and Vue.js. For the past five years I've been building high-traffic web applications at scale — complex products with Laravel, Vue.js, Livewire, Astro and modern stacks (TALL, VILT) with real users and real production stakes. I work fully remote in the European timezone, speak fluent English (C1), and have shipped with distributed teams.

Background

My first developer income came from Upwork in 2019, fixing bugs and shipping sections for clients across the world. From there I joined VILAX, a marketing agency, managing a portfolio of WordPress + WooCommerce sites. Then Manifiesto in Barcelona, where I worked as Full Stack Developer on Laravel + Vue.js projects for major national and international brands.

Since 2024 I've combined long-term EU client engagements, fixed-term contracts and joining engineering teams, while remaining open to full-time remote or Barcelona-hybrid opportunities.

How I work

• End-to-end ownership: architecture, code, deployment, support. No passing the hot potato.
• AI augmenting, not replacing: Claude Code, Claude Design, Google Stitch and MCP servers are part of my daily flow. I review every output before it hits main.
• Async-first: clear documentation, thorough PRs, short daily. Meetings only when they add value, never as a substitute for thinking.
• Measurable quality: tests with Pest/PHPUnit, CI/CD, basic observability from day one.
