Ignacio Amat is a Senior Full Stack Developer based in Madrid, Spain, specializing in Laravel and Vue.js. For the past five years I've been building high-traffic web applications for brands like PlayStation, TikTok, Glovo, LaCaixa and Bizum. I work fully remote in the European timezone, speak fluent English (C1), and have shipped with distributed teams.

Background

My first developer income came from Upwork in 2019, fixing bugs and shipping sections for clients across the world. From there I joined VILAX, a marketing agency, managing a portfolio of WordPress + WooCommerce sites. Then Manifiesto in Barcelona, where I was the technical owner of Laravel + Vue projects for PlayStation, TikTok, Glovo, LaCaixa, Bizum, Citroën, ElPozo, TacoBell and Ginos.

Since 2024 I've been working as senior freelance, combining long-term EU client engagements, team augmentation, and being open to full-time remote employment.

• End-to-end ownership: architecture, code, deployment, support. No passing the hot potato.
• AI augmenting, not replacing: Claude Code, Claude Design, Google Stitch and MCP servers are part of my daily flow. I review every output before it hits main.
• Async-first: clear documentation, thorough PRs, short daily. Meetings only when they add value, never as a substitute for thinking.
• Measurable quality: tests with Pest/PHPUnit, CI/CD, basic observability from day one.
